This updates Ruby to 1.8.6 patch level 111 (lots
of bug fixes since 1.8.6 was released). It also
updates most of the included extensions to their
latest versions (see the change log).
The final release won't happen until after
RubyGems 0.9.5 is released (which should be any
day now) because we want the latest RubyGems
version to be included. However, we're putting out
this release candidate now to give you a chance to
try out everything else while we wait!
Hate to bug you, but do you have any timeline for making the same
changes to InstantRails? I need a couple of fixes to make Streamlined
work better w/MSSQL.
Yes, that will be next when this OCI release goes final. But you don't
have to wait, you can drop this ruby release into IR's ruby
subdirectory (you'd have to reinstall any gems).

Concerning reinstalling the gems... I just had to do this. Why is this necessary? Or more speficically: Why does the installer not allow overwriting? This costs me like an hour to reinstall Ruby on Windows every time I do it. The only other app that needs over an over is the Adobe suite.
