What could possibly cause this error:

Application error Rails application failed to start properly"

When I load a controller in a browser?

I have created the controller, model, and view; created the database table, and updated database.yml.

Did you install Rails with no error message. If you are in Windows, there is a one-click installer available

My server.log, production.log, and test.log are all empty. My development.log has contents describing the “rake db:migrate” command results. I don’t see any obvious errors.
