A full guide on authentication is missing from rails guides

Rails includes all ingredients for rolling your own auth, I just think it’s badly badly documented in the rails guides.

Here is an excellent guide for making authentication from scratch

Some of the steps here should be documented in the rails guides, even the basic concept of authorization could be documented somewhere too.
