Ruby and RoR on Google Android?

Hi Everyone,

I am interested in finding out if anyone has looked into the feasibility of porting Ruby and RoR to the Google Android Open Source phone SDK. Has anyone considered this?

Since Android has Java support, could the JRuby work be leveraged in this case?

Android just seems like too big an opportunity to pass up. The Ruby and RoR community can probably contribute a lot to this effort.

I see that this could be interesting for JRuby, but I don't really see why I would like to run RoR on any mobile device..
