Rails List: Is spam normal?

Hey guys, I'm kind of a read-only member of the list as of late and I've not been on the list at all too long but I'm curious... is it normal for this list to get spam? Some other lists I'm a member of seem to bee pretty strict about it & this is the only one I've gotten spam through. Of course this is the only one hosted as a Google groups so perhaps that's the reason.

Any good way to block/filter it on my end (OS X Maill.app)?

Unfortunately, yes. It's brought up every couple weeks or so, but it seems to be the state of the list.

The Rails' lists (rubyonrails-talk & rails-core) are a lot different in that respect than the other lists I'm on as well.

I'm quite happy with SpamSieve (well, as happy as one with spam can be). Others have posted lists of email addresses which they've used to filter the list, but I haven't had to do that.
