I just created http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/9808 which contains a documentation patch to clarify the meaning of the :function option in the observe_field prototype helper.
It's my first submission to rails, and I'd appreciate it if a few folks would look it over and if you like it give me a thumbs up on the way to putting it in report #12.
