London Ruby User Group - 16th April, 2007

Hi all,

The next meeting of the London Ruby User Group is fast approaching.

Time: 6:30pm onwards Location: the Skills Matter offices at 1 Sekeford Street, EC1R 0BEL[1]

Closest tube: Farringdon

Talk: Paolo Donà showing off his TabNav[2] plugin. If this sounds familiar, it’s because this talk was originally scheduled for our February meeting, but Paolo was unable to give it due to illness.

Discuss: Jonathan Leighton will be chairing a discussion about REST in the Rails 1.2 world. Our mailing list has been awash recently with REST so Jonathan thought it would be a good idea to have a more in-depth discussion about REST and how everyone understands it / uses it in the real world. The panel includes LRUG members both pro and sceptical towards REST, so it should be an interesting evening.

Chatter: After all this we’ll retire for a well earned beer or two to The Crown Tavern[3], conveniently situated just round the corner from the Skills Matter offices.

If you are coming, it’s important that you register with Skills Matter via their LRUG page[4] so they know about numbers for seating and make sure we get the most appropriate room.

As usual there is (slightly) more information on the LRUG website[5], should your appetite be whetted for it.

Hope to see you there.

Cheers,

Murray
