time_select in am/pm format

Is there an easy solution out there that can display it in the am/pm format and not the 24 hours format. i have searched the web and this group and found not much except the following:

any other solutions or am i missing something built into rails?

I was actually more interested in the time_select helper and getting it to display the form in 12 hour format. So, it seems like there is not anything built into rails huh?
