It doesn't 'plug in' to any app though. You might look at Savage Beast, which is based off an older version of Beast and packed as an engine. I don't have the URL handy, but it's a google search away I'm sure.

I'm going to be integrating SB shortly and will likely get in synch with Beast again - ETA < 1 month.
Also note that if you're developing for 2.0, engines may not be there yet (James?).
