I just joined this group and already I'm being confronted with recruiters. I get this all day long in my mail, why is it even allowed here?

To make it worse, its not even written for this group, its just a form letter!

I'd welcome job postings like "hey guys we have a position now open at coolrailsshop.com, drop by and check it out", but not this bulk recruiter spam.

Is this group actually moderated and why are they letting it through?

You should see the stuff I don't let through - at least this one is actually about rails, obvious minus points for absolutely zero information.

A few years ago the subject came up and the overall consensus was that people did want job ads. Since then i've been fairly liberal in what I accept as long as it is at least a rails position. I'm happy to tighten the noose if that's what people want.
