PDF::Writer - Adding a symbol to a string....

I’ve looked through Google and may have the wrong query string so I’m hoping the excellent people on this list might be able to help.

Having a hard time getting the trademark symbol added to a string of chars. using the add_text_wrap call if that makes a difference. Need to add it inline since some of the text is being centered.

Alright. Got the TM symbol in the string…however. When it writes to PDF, the symbol sometimes appears, sometimes not (depending on the code used) and extra chars get added in. Tried changing the encoding of the font with no luck. Anyone have any ideas?
