I currently have a MacBook and use it with a 24" dell monitor. I have to say.. it works really well. The only time I have seen it slow down was when I am playing a full screen divx movie on the 24" screen. Also obviously you couldn't game on it or anything.. .but as for working on it... it is perfect and smooth.
