Kete 1.2 released

Hello everyone,

The Kete 1.2 release is now available.

For those that aren’t familiar with Kete, it is an open source Rails app that you can use to create online areas for collaboration for your community. Write topics and upload images, audio, video, documents. Discuss them all. Link them together.

It’s been called a “relational wiki” and " a mashup between content management and knowledge managment". It’s a fun way to get things done.

If you are interested in Kete 1.2, the official announcement can be found here:

Kete is a Ruby on Rails application, so huge thanks go to those that have worked on Ruby and Ruby on Rails for providing a great foundation to build an application on top of. Thanks also to all the plugin authors that have provided excellent libraries to work with.

A special thank you goes out to New Relic who provided their services to identify areas that needed optimization as we prepared for the Kete 1.2 release. They saved us oodles of time and headaches.

Enjoy Kete 1.2, Walter

P.S - Apologies for any cross posting.
