How to get the value of a text field

Hi All

Can anyone tell me how to get the value from a text field in Ruby not from javascript

(i can get the value from java script by calling “getElementById()”)

Lets say text field is like this

<%= text_field ‘confirmed_check_in’, ‘baseLeaseFee’, ‘size’=>10 %>

Please Help me

if I understood your question in controller you can have params[: confirmed_check_in][:baseLeaseFee ]
