Google Map Key Error

Hi All, I am working on the google map application when I uploaded my files i am getting the below error

The given key has gone over the requests limit in the 24 hour period or has submitted too many requests in too short a period of time.

Please help me

Have you been making many requests to google's api in the time period indicated? (or sharing the api key with someone/something that has?)
