Is there a flickr integration mailing list? Im going to have to do alot of work on that tonigh and I wouldn’t want to mis out of a resource like that 
I know about the ruby on
rails.org screencast. Want to talk to people who do more indepth stuff.

No such thing unfortunately. Flickr themselves do have a developers mailing list related to the API though… http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/yws-flickr/

Best bet on getting started is to check out flickr.rb (http://redgreenblu.com/flickr/). By looking through the rdoc you should be able to do most things. The code for it is pretty easy to understand and modify to do what you want if it doesn’t already do it.
One tip: The API key is (unfortunately) hard-coded in flickr.rb, so you’ll need to paste your own one in there.
If you have any questions about modifications to the code you are having trouble, I subscribe to this mailing list, so will probably answer fairly quickly, as I am sure others will.
