just wanted to know if it was possible to attach two different images to a record using Squeegy Fleximage plugin. If yes, how should the rendering of these files be achieved ?

I have not looked at Fleximage untill just now but have a solution for doing something similar with the file_column plug in. If you would like me to go further email me via the "reply to author" link. It's to late now and I'm slightly drunk.
having re read your question, it sounds like you need to set up a has many relationship between your images and another object such as photo albums where a photo album can have many images.
