ad hoc query builder

Hi All,

Does anybody know of a plugin, gem, component, sample app, whatever, running with AR, that allows a user to define ad hoc queries by selecting the columns they want to see, ability to define filters using and/or semantics, select columns for ordering and grouping... ?

We have such solution as ActiveX and ASP.NET control: EasyQuery: .NET/ASP.NET query builder and advanced search components You can see how it works on the special demo page: http://www.easyquerydemo.com

Unfortunately our product does not work with Ruby.
