Retired Software Engineer. I started with COBOL and IMS databases on IBM Mainframes. Moved to software product development using Assembler on VSE, VM and MVS/OS390 systems. Further migrated to MVS driver and control software for mainframe Disk Storage and Tape Storage systems. Then moved to firmware development for those same systems. Now I just use my spare time keeping up with learning new frameworks I never had a chance to explore. I prefer using editors like VI etc vs IDE platforms, that keeps me in touch with the basic structure. I am a Air Force Veteran and love riding across country with my wife on our big Harley’s. We have ridden across every state in the lower 48, Alaska is next. Also a Legion Rider and help put disable Veterans back on motorcycles.
