I’m compiling a list of resources for learning Ruby on Rails at the above URL. I’d appreciate your input and that of others in the Rails community.
One of the parameters is the level of the resource. Try Ruby and Rails For Zombies 1 don’t require installing Ruby or Rails on your computer and are basically prerequisites for everything else. Thus, they are level 0. RailsBridge and Rails Tutorial require installing Ruby on Rails but don’t go beyond the basics. Thus, they are level 1. Agile Web Development With Rails 4 requires some troubleshooting ability (because not everything works as expected), so I have labeled it as level 2. Likewise, you won’t get much out of RailsCasts if you don’t already know the basics in RailsBridge and Rails Tutorial, so it’s also level 2.
