Has anybody determined yet if it is necessary to build ImageMagick and its libraries before installing the specific RMagick gem on Media Temple grid (gs) ??--apart from the dedicated plan. From what I have gathered from the limited mt documentation and a few stray blogs out there, its a pain in the ass to build from scratch-- more so without root access. This is my first deployment from a windows machine and have to say, the development process was a walk in the park in contrast to this rollout ....Saw this question posed before but with no definitive answers...thanks for the heads up if anybody should know!
