migrating to rails from wordpress

Hello, I currently have a site running mainly on rails, but with a legacy wordpress editorial section that gets handled via php. Apart from the general annoyance of having to maintain two sets of similar templates in two languages, I would also like to implement a cross-section search facility, whihc means I can't (easily) use ferret or the inbuilt wordpress search.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a wordpress equivalent that I could embed within an existing rails site/app? Or, whether it's even slightly worth it...
