London Ruby User Group - 12th May 2008

Hi all,

The next meeting of the London Ruby Users Group is on Monday the 12th of May.

Time: 6:30 for the talks, 8:00pm (ish) for the pub
Location: 1 Sekforde Street[1] for the talks, The Crown Tavern[2] for the pub

Closest tube: Farringdon

  1. “Settling New Caprica: Getting your pet project off the ground” by Tom Armitage.
Tom is going to talk about the trials of getting his recently launched rails-based forum site from that first idea all the way to launch and beyond as well as covering the the tools he used in building it.

  2. “Monkeyweaving: Live native monkey patching” by Tim Becker
Tim will be showing off a new meta-programming tool he’s releasing.

More details on both of these talks can be found on the LRUG site[3].

As ever, it’s important that if you are planning
on coming you let our hosts, Skills Matter, know about it by
registering on their website [4]. It’s better if you can register
early so they have a chance to move the venue if we need a bigger one.

See you there,
