I've just been reading about Rubyworks and HAProxy etc.
Does HAProxy take Apache right out of the loop or does it sit behind
Apache.
Sorry if this is a silly question but it is not imediatly apparent on
the Rubyworks site

I'd sit it being apache ( or better yet Nginx ) so you can only proxy
off requests for rails and get Apache/Nginx to serve images etc.
