I am wanting to do something like digg but internally at our company and am looking for a rails based starting point. There is something out there called pligg which seems pretty good, but it is PHP based and I expect to be making quite a few changes/additions, so would really prefer a project based on rails !

i guess you want the voting algorithm and how items are sorted?
More looking for a whole site, pretty much like pligg (http://www.pligg.com). Kindof like a typo type thing, but instead of for blogging, for a digg like site.
