Advice on Learning RoR

Hi Kevin,

I'm interested in learing a programing language. I have had a class in QBasic long ago, and used to program in Applesoft when I was a child. So I have the most basic knowledge of programming. Is RoR a place to jump into programing? I've read a little about and it looks like the least complicated language to use. Very clean and percise. I would appreciate any suggestions on where to start.

For a 'taster', you might want to try a tutorial. The one at http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2006/12/14/revisiting-ruby-on-rails-revisited.html?page=1 won't take you too long, and gives you links to easy-to-get-installed-and-started installations for Rails. It'll give you, I think, a good enough feel for the language / framework to come to your own assessment about whether it's a good fit for you.

Best regards, Bill
